Frequently Asked Questions

Costs vary with project size, technical hurdles, and performance goals. A game that runs poorly on PC or relies on a custom engine, for example, requires much heavier lifting. Porting isn't one-size-fits-all. That's why after our call and my free technical audit , I define the best structure for your project - hourly/weekly, fixed-fee, or a revenue-share hybrid.

Two plans available:

  • Port: I handle the entire port from start to finish, including certification and eShop setup, but you handle publishing independently: Either via your own, or via your publisher's NDP (Nintendo Developer Portal) account.
  • Port + Publish: I handle both porting and eShop publishing from start to finish. Note that this plan always includes a revshare, to cover ongoing costs.

Both options include full technical support through launch, as well as post-release patches for a fair price.

QA is a core part of the porting process, covering functionality testing, performance validation, and certification prep to meet Nintendo's standards. I provide limited in-house QA as part of my workflow, but full coverage requires dedicated testing. Depending on your setup, we can either integrate with your existing QA team (common with publishers) or work with my trusted external QA partners.

Not Planned: I'm dedicated to Nintendo Switch, because mastery of one platform delivers far better results than a scattered approach. For indie games especially, Switch is often the most commercially important console, so I've chosen to specialize where it matters most.
